Denise Van Outen looks downcast as she nurses shoulder in sling after painful dislocation

Denise Van Outen looked downcast as she she stepped out with her injured arm strapped up in a sling following an accident on Dancing On Ice.

The actress, 46, fell on the ice during tough rehearsals last week and dislocated her shoulder.

And on Tuesday, she visited her doctor's office in London to get it checked out ahead of Sunday's upcoming show.

Denise stared into space as she left the building, and the star looked like she was in a lot of pain.

She was dressed in comfy gym gear and trainers, holding a cup of coffee as she went about her day.

She wrapped up for the cold UK weather with a cream gilet and Burberry scarf, showing off her toned legs in the sheer leggings.

The TV star wore a face mask to keep herself protected, but she didn't seem in high spirits.

Denise walked towards a car after attending her appointment, likely heading back home to her Essex home during the coronavirus lockdown.

After the accident happened during training, Denise was rushed to hospital and had an emergency X-ray, which revealed she had dislocated her left shoulder and caused damage to her tendons.

She recently told The Sun she is "terrified" of falling again as she doesn't "heal like a 21-year-old" anymore.

A source told the outlet: "She was devastated because a fall like that when you're not 21 is not easy.

"She was worried she wouldn't heal like she would back then, so was so nervous to get back on the ice, but she was determined the show must go on.

"Everyone felt so bad for Denise, she was in agony but gave it her all. She had done so well before and then this happened."

Despite her horrific injury, Denise took to the ice over the weekend to skate with her partner Matt Evers.

The couple got the lowest scores of the night, but thanks to fans they will be returning in this week's show, as many saw her potential shine through.

The Mirror has contacted Denise's rep for comment.
