Denise Van Outen claims ghost pinned her to the bed at pop star ex Jay Kay's house

Denise Van Outen has claimed a ghost pinned her down on her ex's bed.

The TV presenter revealed that a strange spirit called "the green lady" used to haunt Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay's luxury home.

Denise, 46, said that the incident took place at Jay Kay 's house which was quite famous in the country.

She said: "I swear one night I got held down in the bed by this green lady or some sort of force was on top of me, and it wasn’t Jay with a big hat.

"I remember just waking up and my body being really, really heavy and I was struggling to get up out of the bed.

"I still don’t know to this day whether or not it was the green lady or my imagination."

And the former Big Breakfast presenter revealed that friends had also felt the ghost's presence.

She continued: "I used to always feel like somebody was watching me from the en suite.

"We’d go in to touch up our make-up and they’d go, ‘Oh I thought someone was in the bathroom then, I’m sure I heard or saw someone’.

"Sometimes we would hear footsteps as well. It was very weird."

Denise and Jay Kay were seen as a power couple at the turn of the millennium after first getting together in 1999.

However, the romance was short lived as the pair announced their split two years later in 2001.

Denise previously put their separation down to "work-related" pressures but confirmed the duo maintained a healthy friendship.

Earlier this week, the former West End star admitted that she has "no regrets" over her appearance in lads' mags.

She told The Sun : "I look back at them fondly, I have no regrets about the shoots. They were fun to do.

"It was very fashionable at the time and I enjoyed all of it. I never felt uncomfortable."

She revealed that she was selective in which shoots she took part in and intends to use the images as research for her new autobiography.
