Denise Van Outen and boyfriend chose not to have kids together because they 'have nice life'

Denise Van Outen says she and her boyfriend Eddie Boxshall 'flirted' with the idea of having kids together - but they ruled it out after deciding they have a 'nice life'.

The former Dancing On Ice star, 47, already has a daughter named Betsy - who she shares with her ex-husband Lee Mead - and she's confirmed more kids are not on the cards.

The actress and singer is very much happy with her lavish lifestyle and says she is 'too old' to have another baby.

She told The Sun : "Oh, you're joking. I'm 47, no chance.

"Not at this age. We sort of flirted with the idea of it two or three years ago but then realised that we have a really nice life."

But Denise hasn't ruled out getting married to Eddie, 46, who has two children of his own from a previous relationship, in the near future.

The couple began dating in 2014 after she got divorced from her former husband Lee the year before.

They were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.

She added: "I think we'll just plan a date and do it between us. We've had open conversations about it, so there would be no surprise in going, 'Will you marry me?'

"It's not like I want a big flashy ring on my finger. It's like, we'll do it because it's a nice thing to do together and to become a family."

She previously told Hello! magazine : "After this dreadful lockdown ends, there will be wedding bells.

"Betsy is desperate for us to get married. She tells us that all the time.

"We want to do it, too, surrounded by all our family and friends."
