Denise O'Sullivan has been declared fit for Ireland's World Cup qualifier in Finland on Tuesday, handing Vera Pauw's squad a massive boost for the trip.
O'Sullivan, 27, who is one of the most influential members of Pauw's side, suffered a serious-looking elbow injury towards the end of last night's opening 1-0 defeat at home to group favourites Sweden in Tallaght.
After the game, Pauw was downbeat about the Cork woman's chances of being fit to face the Finns, but a scan and assessment by Ireland medical staff has given her the all-clear to travel.
The Ireland boss has reduced her squad to the matchday 23 for the trip and Amanda Budden, Éabha O'Mahony, Harriet Scott and Jessica Ziu miss out.
The Finland clash kicks off at 4.15pm Irish time and will be broadcast live on RTE 2.
