Denis Suarez delivers social media update on his Arsenal future

Arsenal attacker Denis Suarez has revealed he has been ruled out for the season following a groin injury.

The 25-year-old creative talent who has played only 95 minutes of football for the Gunners in six substitute appearances since joining on loan from Barcelona in January, has not featured since the Gunners faced Manchester United in March.

Suarez has failed to make an impact in North London and is set to return to the Nou Camp with Arsenal unlikely to make a bid for the player who made nearly 50 appearances for Unai Emery during their time together at Sevilla

In a post on Twitter, Suarez said: “I want you all to know that I will not be able to play again this season.

What Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles said to James Maddison after red card at Leicester

"Some issues with my groin have made things tough since the game against BATE Boris [sic] in the Europa League,,, now they have forced me to stop training altogether.

“After various medical consultations, the conclusion has been reached that I cannot keep on pushing it and I have started a period of treatment that cannot be done alongside competitive football.”
