Demolition machinery worth £60,000 stolen from site in East Lothian

Machinery worth around £60,000 has been stolen from a construction site in East Lothian.

Police are trying to recover a hydraulic grabber and "muncher" which were taken from a site near Drem railway station.

The theft took place at some point between December 20 and January 15.

Ronnie Brown, manager of RM Brown Demolitions posted that two of his diggers had also been broken into.

He said: "Very tough start to the year. Yard broken in to and equipment stolen."

Police Scotland said: "If anyone saw anything suspicious around the festive period or they have any information about the incident to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 1024 of 15 January, 2020."
