Demolition Dad by Phil Earle - review

Phil Earle, Demolition Dad

Oh… My… God! Jake's dad George is finally a wrestler! Hoo-yah!

But… every weekend when George Biggs fights some other big wrestler, only about ten old grannies come to see him. (They couldn't be happier playing Bingo!) Jake really wants the whole world to see Demolition Dad fighting, but never has the occasion come… Until now. (I could really do with some dramatic music here. Really.)

The judges from W.O.W. (hint: it's a wrestling show) have started a competition online. Just send in a video of you wrestling and the best contestant will get to have a chance to fight The Tsunami Terror in Hollywood. There's just one problem: Jake and his Dad have vowed to keep wrestling a secret. But George must prove himself! So Jake signs Dad up in secret.

Dad and Mom are both very cross. But somehow, they agree. Will George Biggs win the competition? Read the book and find out… Dad is absolutely ruined. Ruined! And all because of the competition! What shall Jake do?

This book starts about wrestling and continues about wrestling, so yeah, If you're a wrestling fan, get this book. Also, if you like drama books, this is the ultimate book for you. Full of drama. This book was so fun my parents got angry I wasn't coming to eat lunch! I really loved reading it. There were always surprises coming out of nowhere.
