Demolition continues on one of Cardiff city centre's major buildings

The demolition of St David's House in Cardiff city centre is continuing.

The 120,000 sq ft building on Wood Street is being knocked down as part of the development of Central Square.

Work started on the end nearest the Wood Street bridge last month, and now the building nearest the city centre is going.

Months were spend planning for the huge job that will see the central part of the city completely transform.

Office workers on their lunch breaks on Thursday watched as the large crane carried on with the demolition.

By-standers watched as the bricks came down.

One onlooker said: "It was an impressive sight and quite mesmerising to watch. With all the new buildings in the area it will be good to see this particular building going."
