WASHINGTON _ Democratic super PAC Priorities USA Action is planning to put some of its money into tight Senate races across the country.
Initially the organization had been focused primarily on supporting Hillary Clinton. But now the PAC is planning on spending on races in North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, CNN reported.
All races are must-wins for Democrats to reclaim the Senate and are tighter than expected.
Deborah Ross, a former North Carolina state legislator, has run surprisingly close against Republican Sen. Richard Burr.
But Ross has come under fire from Republicans for her tenure leading the North Carolina branch of the American Civil Liberties Union, cutting an ad saying Ross wanted to try a 13-year old who sexually assaulted a woman as a juvenile rather than as an adult.
In Nevada, former state Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has been trailing Rep. Joe Heck in recent polling.
And Katie McGinty in Pennsylvania and Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire are in tight races against incumbents.
