US singer Demi Lovato is to reunite with the Jonas Brothers in a cameo appearance in Camp Rock 3.
The 33-year-old appeared in the first two Disney Channel films as Mitchie Torres, a young girl who attends a summer music camp in the hope of becoming a singer, and will reprise her role in the upcoming third film.
In a post on X, she said: “Y’all miss me? xoxo, Mitchie.”
Lovato will also be an executive producer on Camp Rock 3.
The new film will see Connect 3, a fictional group played by the Jonas Brothers, Joe, Nick and Kevin, return to Camp Rock to look for the opening act on their reunion tour.
It will be directed by Veronica Rodriguez, and will also see Maria Canals-Barrera reprise her role as Connie Torres, Mitchie’s mother.
New cast members include Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean.
The first Camp Rock film was released in 2008, while its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which saw the music camp compete with the rival Camp Star, was released in 2010.
Following her appearance in the first film, Lovato launched a singing career which has seen her achieve six UK top 10 singles including a UK number one in Solo, with Clean Bandit, as well as five UK top 10 albums.
Some of her other hits include Heart Attack, Up, which features English singer Olly Murs, and Cool For The Summer.
Before Camp Rock, Lovato appeared in the children’s television series Barney And Friends, appearing alongside the purple dinosaur from 2002 to 2004.
Formed in 2005, the Jonas Brothers achieved worldwide fame when they appeared in Camp Rock, going on to score a UK top 10 single with Sucker and four UK top 10 albums.
Camp Rock 3 will premiere on the Disney Channel on August 13, before streaming on Disney+.
