Demi Lovato doesn't see herself 'getting pregnant' as she shares hopes to adopt

Demi Lovato says she doesn't see herself ever getting pregnant.

The singer, 28, opened up about her future plans during an appearance on Joe Rogan 's podcast, telling him she would love to have children in the future.

“I think if anything, I want to adopt, more than anything,” she told the comedian on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

“Life doesn’t go according to any plan. So, I could sit here and say, ‘Yes, I would love to have children.’ But I don’t know, because that might change next week. I think in this moment, I want to adopt, for sure.”

Demi opened up about her personal life, explaining that not everything has gone to plan when it comes to relationships and family life.

The singer was famously engaged to actor Max Ehrich after just six months of being together.

Not long after Max popped the all-important question, the pair's ill-fated romance crumbled and their engagement was effectively called off.

“I don’t know, I was engaged to a man last year. I totally thought that I’d be married, maybe pregnant, by now. And that’s not the case,” she told Joe.

“I know that my life is not going according to my plan.”

Demi admitted that she doesn't even know if she'll end up settling down with a man.

“I can’t really see myself even getting pregnant,” she said. “I don’t know. I’m so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was super closeted off.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Demi revealed she identifies as pansexual after years of being ‘super closeted off.’

The host asked the Sorry Not Sorry singer whether she meant she identified as pansexual, saying: “What do they call that? ‘Pansexual’?”

“Yeah, pansexual,” she answered. “I like anything, really.”

Demi previously revealed that she's been intimate with a woman before and said it ‘felt better’ than when she was with a man.

“I know who I am and what I am, but I'm just waiting until a specific timeline to come out to the world as what I am,” she told Glamour.

“I'm following my healers' timeline, and I'm using this time to really study and educate myself on my journey and what I'm preparing to do.

“I hooked up with a girl and was like, 'I like this a lot more.' It felt better. It felt right.'”

Demi has been opening about her life and discussed everything from her relationships to past drug addictions in her powerful new documentary Dancing With The Devil which was released on YouTube last week.
