Demba Ba on Steven Gerrard's slip and the Liverpool team-mate who 'has something against him'

Demba Ba has admitted Steven Gerrard must find it "difficult to live with" his famous slip during Liverpool's defining title match with Chelsea.

The Reds' skipper famously lost his footing during a clash between the two teams at Anfield in 2014, allowing Ba to race through on goal and put the visitors one goal ahead.

Chelsea ended up winning the match 2-0, with Liverpool unable to break down their opponents in the second half.

It was a mistake that proved costly in the race for the Premier League title, with Manchester City eventually running out winners by two points.

Many look back on Gerrard's slip as the moment that cost Liverpool their first-ever Premier League trophy and Ba, who scored that famous goal, admits it must be a difficult burden for the Rangers to bear.

"First if I put myself in his shoes, which I really didn't up to now, but it must be terrible for a player that has played so long for one team and played so great for one team," Ba told Sky Sports.

"Basically losing a title on a mistake he has done, I think it must be difficult to live with. I have also Martin Skrtel who is in my team now and I think he still has something against me because in training he does not leave me alone.

"I think it's difficult to live with."
