Demaryius Thomas among 3 Patriots limited for practice in Week 1

The New England Patriots had perfect attendance at practice on Wednesday, but were managing three limited player ahead of their season-opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tight end Matt LaCosse (ankle), safety Obi Melifonwu (ankle) and receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) were limited at practice. Because there have been no injury reports until this point in the season, it’s not clear when they suffered the injuries. However, LaCosse seemed to suffer an issue in the first week of the preseason when he left the game. He didn’t return to preseason action. Melifonwu and Thomas, meanwhile, played extensively in the fourth preseason game.

The Patriots have practice on Thursday and Friday before their game Sunday night.
