Demario Davis celebrates fellow Brandon High grad Gardner Minshew with epic shirt

New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis is proud of where he’s from. Before standing out for the Arkansas State Red Wolves in college, he played both wide receiver and linebacker in his hometown of Brandon, Miss., at the high school of the same name. He’s come a long way to lead a defense playing with more heat than maybe any other unit in the league right now.

So of course he’s happy to see another Brandon High School graduate making waves. That would be rookie Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, whose path to the NFL began at Troy University before bouncing to Northwest Mississippi Community College, then East Carolina University, and ended at Washington State University. It’s not uncommon for former rivals to end up playing against each other in the NFL, but it is rare for two graduates of the same high school (who played there almost a decade apart) from a small town of just over 21,000 people to line up against one another.

So Davis paid tribute to Minshew by wearing an incredible shirt during locker room media availability after practice on Wednesday. It depicts the jorts-wearing, hammer-wielding, shirtless and mustachioed Minshew riding a saddled jaguar into battle. It must be seen to be believed:
