DeMarcus Cousins pokes fun at the Warriors’ injury situation with late-night airport photo

The Golden State Warriors held on to steal Sunday’s Game 2 in Toronto, but it was far from a walk in the park for the defending champions. At the airport after the game, it wasn’t even a walk at all.

After going over five minutes without scoring down the stretch (the box-and-one?!), Andre Iguodala came up huge in the clutch with a game-sealing three. It was a game that the Warriors really needed to end because, well, the injuries were piling up in a huge way.

Obviously, Kevin Durant was out with his calf strain. By the end of Sunday’s game, though, the Warriors’ injury list had grown to include Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Iguodala, DeMarcus Cousins and Kevon Looney.

With all these injuries, Cousins just had to make light of the scene at the Toronto airport. So many Warriors players were being pushed to the gate in wheelchairs — even Iguodala. This was what Cousins (who was also in a wheelchair) shared on Instagram late Sunday night.

You know, just the Game 2 hero. He’s doing fine.

On the bright side, the Warriors have about three days to recover for Game 3. They’ll need all of that time because, at this point, the injury situation is just absurd.
