Delivery van spotted being driven through Wythenshawe with doors open and 'parcels falling out'

This is the moment a delivery driver was spotted driving through Wythenshawe with the back doors of their van open, with parcels 'falling out onto the road'.

Photographs seen by the Manchester Evening News, show a UPS (United Parcel Service) driver seemingly unaware of the blunder as they drove along Wythenshawe Road.

The van was filled with dozens of cardboard boxes, which looked precariously placed, as the driver made their rounds on Thursday morning.

UPS bosses have confirmed they are aware of the incident and are investigating.

One person claimed boxes fell out of the vehicle.

In a post on Facebook, they person wrote: "If you're awaiting parcels from UPS today, there's a good chance they're all over Wythenshawe and Norris Road."

They said they flashed their lights and sounded their horn in a bid to get the driver's attention.

"I couldn't stop to collect all the parcels," the person added.

In July, a video emerged of boxes being carelessly hurled from the back of a lorry into a van in Whitefield, Bury.

The 30-second clip showed at least four large cardboard boxes being flung from the green Tuffnells lorry into the back of a white van.

And in Swinton, a delivery man was caught on CCTV launching a parcel several feet into the air - and the entire length of a house.

Yodel bosses confirmed they had reported the incident to the area manager.

A spokesman for UPS said: "We are aware of an incident involving a delivery vehicle in the Wythenshawe area. We are currently investigating the situation and we will take appropriate action.

"Safety throughout the organisation, especially road safety, is one of the utmost importance to UPS."
