Delivery driver stunned after finding out he's won £160,000 Bentley

A delivery driver was left gobsmacked after winning a £160,000 Bentley and £20,000 cash.

Darren Godson won the top prize in a spot the ball competition.

The 32-year-old was surprised at his workplace by Christian Williams from competition organisers Best Of The Best, Lincolnshire Live reports.

Mr Godson has been entering the competition for just under a year and plans to use his cash prize to take his mother Elaine, who is a Elvis superfan, to see his home in Graceland.

He said: "It's amazing, I play every week but I didn't think that it would ever happen.

"I'm over the moon I can't believe it. I don't think it's set in. I can't believe I've won.

"I'm currently driving and Audi A5 and it'll definitely be gone.

"I'm shocked, it's a dream come true. I've playing about a year in drips and drabs."

Darren, who instantly recognised the surprise team said: “I was shaking, I couldn’t believe that Christian was there.

“Although my workmates and family weren’t sure I’d win I was always hopeful that one day I’d get the chance. I am so ecstatic.

“I really like the look and shape of Bentleys and they’re just so luxurious. I can’t believe it’s mine - it really hasn’t sunk in yet.”

Darren added that he's looking forward to being able to treat his mother after his win.

“She’s only ever wanted to do two things in life," he said.

"First is to see Celine Dion, which we are doing next year, and the second is to see Graceland,” said Darren.

“I’ve always wanted to do this for her but I’ve never had the funds, so now I can afford it, that’s the first thing I wanted to do.”

Christian Williams, who surprises winners weekly all over the world, said he was thrilled to see Darren’s reaction.

“I’m so glad we got to surprise Darren, he’s a great guy and we love that he’s using his cash prize to treat his Mum to the ultimate Christmas gift.”

“We hope the Godson family has a wonderful Christmas and enjoys the car - and the trip!”
