Deliveroo will give away HUNDREDS of free burgers in Manchester on Thursday

If there's one thing better than food itself, it's free food and what a way to almost end the week.

To celebrate its fourth birthday, Deliveroo are giving away free burgers in Manchester on Thursday, April 25.

What a way to celebrate.

The delivery giants planned the giveaway for St Peter's Square but the location has now been changed to Stevenson Square from 1pm.

A spokesperson for Deliveroo has said that Manchester Council had requested the location be changed for the big giveaway.

So, it is still the perfect time to pop out on that all important lunch break and better yet, it's not just any old burger.

The fast-food deliciousness is being provided by city restaurant Solita, who has sites in the Northern Quarter, Disbury and Prestwich.

Dan Warne, managing director of Deliveroo in UK and Ireland said: "We're proud to support Manchester's thriving restaurant industry and provide well-paid flexible work our riders who have delivered thousands of meals in the last four years across the city.

"Deliveroo customers love amazing food whether its a delicious burger, protein packed salad or chicken chow mein, so as part of our 4th birthday celebrations we’re giving away hundreds of burgers to hungry Mancunians this Thursday."

Christian Ejiofor from Solita commented: "We're really excited to celebrate Deliveroo's 4th birthday in Manchester tomorrow - what better way to thank our fantastic customers, as well as getting new people to taste our delicious burgers who haven't had the chance to try us yet!"

We know what we are doing for lunch tomorrow.
