Deliveroo reveals what takeaways TDs and senators order most frequently

Restaurant delivery service Deliveroo has revealed what takeaways are ordered most frequently by hungry Irish politicians, civil servants and government workers.

The information was gathered based on locations where TDs and senators' offices are located including Government buildings, Leinster House, the Taoiseach's office and the Department of Finance.

According to the data, Mexican burrito bar Boojum on Kevin St, tops the polls.

But healthy food is also a top choice for TDs with salad bar chain Sprout coming in second place.

Eddie Rocket’s and Nandos are third and fourth respectively  while fifth place goes to noodle and sushi bar Eatokyo in Temple Bar.

Deliveroo Ireland and Boojum team up to create Cadbury's Creme Egg quesadillas for Easter

But traditional takeaway fare also gets their vote with Leo Burdocks in Christchurch, KFC and Supermacs on Westmoreland making the list.

Leinster House made the most orders, followed by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht on Kildare Street, with the Department of Finance on Merrion Street coming in third place.

The Department of Public Expenditure in fourth place also splashed out on takeout frequently with the Department of the Taoiseach coming fifth.

Spice bags are a new Easter Sunday favourite for Irish people

Dan Warne, Deliveroo's Managing Director of Ireland and the UK said: “We're very happy to be helping to feed the people involved in making important decisions for Ireland.

"Our main concern at Deliveroo is keeping people well-nourished with food they want, so we’re glad to be a small part of the bigger picture that’s helping to keep things running smoothly."
