Deliveroo reveals weirdest seafood orders plaiced by Dublin people

Deliveroo has revealed some of the weirdest seafood orders Dubliners have 'plaiced' on the food delivery app.

While we all have our own quirks and preferences, these bizarre orders are sure to make you go 'oh my cod'.

A meal of fish and chips is best enjoyed with tartar sauce or even ketchup but one Dublin customer went even further and asked for a tub of gravy with their fish.

Another Dubliner requested for their fish not to be battered and the restaurant assumed that they were perhaps gluten intolerant and contacted the customer to offer them gluten-free batter.

But it turned out the customer wasn’t gluten intolerant but just intolerant to the taste of batter.

As well as this, three out of Deliveroo's top five fried fish favourites are located in Dublin.

The Ranelagh Takeaway Bar is known for its delicious smoked cod with chips and a drink.

For vegan customers, The Original Vish - a plant-based fish alternative - is served with dill pickle aioli, pickled samphire, and lemon.

Another popular food haunt is Leo Burdock with their battered scampi and chips.

Joe Groves of Deliveroo said: “People tend to either love or hate fish but for those that love it there are plenty of options available, some that aren’t even on the menu!

“There are so many established and loved chippers in Ireland that have been serving for years, and it’s also really exciting to see boundaries being pushed with flavour and ingredients.”
