Deliveroo is giving away 6,000 Greggs sausage rolls this Friday

Greggs sausage rolls have long had cult status in the UK. The delicious sausages wrapped in layers of flaky pastry are enough to cure any hangover, and this Friday they’re being given away for free.

Food delivery giant Deliveroo will celebrate its sixth birthday this Friday by giving away 6,000 of the iconic sausage rolls – along with the new sell-out vegan version - across the capital.

Londoner’s will be able to get their hands on a free sausage roll from Deliveroo staff near Greggs stores in Holborn, The Strand, Cheapside, Southampton Row, Ludgate Hill, Paddington, Chancery Lane, East Cheapside, Whitechapel, Victoria Coach Station, Earls Court, Elephant and Castle, Clapham High Street and Shepherds Bush.

Will Shu, Deliveroo’s first rider and CEO, said in a statement: “Deliveroo was founded, built in and inspired by London. In six years we've worked together to build one of Britain’s most successful tech companies, that now operates in over 14 countries.”

Shu made the first delivery from Busaba Eathai in Chelsea in 2013 and since then the company has delivered millions of meals across the globe.
