Deliveroo down in Ireland as hungry takeaway customers seek food from app

Takeaway service Deliveroo is down in Ireland.

In what is undoubtedly a disaster for hungry customers around the country, the service's app and website have been unavailable since around noon, according to website downdetector.ie.

The company's Twitter account has been responding to tweets about the outage by saying: "We’re currently having some difficulties across the app and website, and we’re working hard to get back up and running ASAP.

"Thanks for your patience. Feel free to DM us with your account email address for support and we’ll get back to you when we can."

Some are even looking to have their Deliveroo Plus accounts refunded for the month of August due to the service being wiped out.

It's not known if Storm Ellen's high winds and power outages last night affected the firm's business here, however thousands of others continue to be without electricity today following the bad weather.
