The latest food service to jump on the vegan bandwagon is Burger King and their delivery partners Deliveroo who will make Meat Free Mondays a treat for the next month.
Today (9th August) is the first day of a new deal that will kick off the week with a delicious and free vegan meal.
Deliveroo has announced that customers can grab a free Vegan Royale starting from this Monday when they make an order over £15 from Burger King on the Deliveroo app.
Hungry vegans or meat-free-curious diners can save up to £6.59 on a meal that has been approved by the new burger Vegan Society certification.
This comes as the delivery app tries to support the growing searches for vegan, meat-free, vegetarian and plant-based takeaways- it's growing around 15% year on year.
The Vegan Royale, which launched in the UK in April this year, consists of a crispy coated, plant-based chicken, ingeniously derived by The Vegetarian Butcher.
It is topped with iceberg lettuce, creamy vegan mayo and crowned with a toasted sesame seed bun.
The offer is only available to customers via the Deliveroo app, running for every Monday from 9th August until 13th of September (excluding Bank Holiday Monday).
Subject to availability, the offer is valid from over 283 participating Burger King restaurants around the UK on the Deliveroo app.
In support of Meat Free Monday, Deliveroo will be launching a series of promotions for meat-free dishes on Mondays throughout the year.
