Delighted childhood friends reunite as lockdown restrictions ease

FRIENDS were reunited as strict lockdown was lifted and two different households could meet outside socially for the first time this year.

Childhood pals Siorsha Farrelly, 27 and Charlotte Brennan, 28, rented bikes and spent the afternoon cycling around Dublin city centre – and treating themselves to a cocktail or two.

The pair from Clondalkin visited some of the capital’s best-known hotspots in and around George’s Street to grab a few drinks, and even the rain did little to dampen their spirits.

Charlotte told the Irish Mirror: “I’m the manager of a pub in London but we can’t reopen until May so I took my PCR tests in March and came home for a while.

“Me and Siorsha have been friends since we were kids and it’s been so nice to see her and catch up.

“We said we’d get the bikes, get a few takeaway pints and make the most of it.

“Since the restrictions have been lifted a little bit we said we’d take full advantage of it.

“We started at The Globe and then we get to Devitt’s where we got Pornstar Martinis and Sex On The Beach. And we had a few Sambuca shots too to be fair.”
