Deliberate blaze at Scots rugby club causes 'extensive damage' to equipment and motor home

A deliberate fire at a Scots rugby club has cause "extensive damage" to a shipping container and equipment inside it.

Police say the flames - which took hold at Hillfoots Rugby Club in Tillicoultry last night - also damaged a motor home parked up nearby.

Officers are now asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area of Lower Milll Street between 9pm and 10:15pm on Monday April 25, to get in touch with them urgently.

A post on the Forth Valley Police Twitter account said: "We are appealing for information regarding a fire raising at Hillfoots Rugby Club, Tillicoultry which occurred between 9 &10.15pm 25/04/22.

"The fire caused extensive damage to a shipping container, equipment and a motor home nearby.

"Any info? Call 101 quoting 4137 of 25 April."
