Delia Smith has revealed she loves tucking in to a McDonald’s burger.
The celebrity chef, 78, confesses to often stopping off for a Maccy D’s when supporting Norwich City.
Delia owns the Premier League football club with her husband, writer Michael Wynn-Jones, and when the Canaries play away they also enjoy a curry, she admits.
In an interview with food magazine Delicious, the chef, who has taught millions to cook through her books and TV shows, says: “At away matches, we used to eat burgers in the car park [of McDonald’s restaurants].
"It became our tradition.”

The magazine adds: “On away-match weekends, she goes out for a Sunday lunch curry.”
Delia, who famously chanted “Let’s be ’aving you” at a Canaries match in 2005, began her 50-year career washing pots and is not a fan of “pretentious food”, the interview reveals.
One of her favourite restaurants, she confesses, is River View, a Chinese restaurant on the River Thames in London. “We’ve been going there for 20 years.”
