According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), around 2.18pm, they received a call about the incident at the DDA flats in B-block. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

Atul Garg, director of DFS, said that while digging the foundation for a house, the wall of an adjacent house collapsed. One person was found trapped in the debris. They were immediately sent to a hospital by a PCR van. One of the victims died and he was identified as Jagdish.
