NEW DELHI: Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed devotees to visit gurdwaras on Sunday on the occasion of prakash purab of Guru Gobind Singh.
In the circular, DDMA has stated that the temporary relaxation in its previous order, which doesn't allow visitors at religious places, is subject to strict compliance of instructions and guidelines like thermal screening, social distancing, hygiene, wearing of mask, use of sanitizer, staggered timings, etc.
DDMA has directed district magistrates and district deputy commissioners of police that all instructions and guidelines issued by the central government and Delhi government shall be strictly complied with by the visitors and gurdwara management committees, in letter and spirit.
In an order on December 28, the DDMA had directed that religious places will remain open, but visitors will not be allowed. The order had come after a DDMA meeting in the wake of the rising number of Covid-19 cases.
