Delhi's O2 requirement declines, around 10,400 fresh cases recorded

Manish Sisodia

New Delhi: Delhi has recorded around 10,400 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours while the positivity rate has dipped to 14 per cent, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said Thursday.

Mr Sisodia, who is also the Nodal Minister for COVID management, said the Delhi government has decided to give surplus Oxygen to other states as National Capital's Oxygen requirement has come down to 582 MT, owing to the declining trend of cases.

"We have written to the Centre for giving the surplus oxygen to other states," Mr Sisodia said.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too on Tuesday, after the opening of a 500-bed facility at the city's Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, said that there will be no shortage of ICU or oxygen beds in Delhi.(UNI)
