NEW DELHI: Delhi environment and forest minister Gopal Rai said more than one lakh saplings will be planted on July 24 at Asola Bhatti Mines as part of the Van Mahotsav's closing ceremony.
Rai, who reviewed the progress of Delhi Government’s Van Mahotsav with officials of the forest department, observed that Van Mahotsav has been going on remarkably well. Rai said the lieutenant governor and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will attend the closing ceremony of Van Mahotsav to be held on July 24 and over one lakh saplings will be planted at Asola Bhatti Mines.
The Delhi government has set a target of planting about 10 lakh saplings during the Van Mahotsav.
