Delhi: Man receives multiple stab injuries on neck, hand in attack in Nihal Vihar

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man sustained multiple stab wounds to his neck and hand in what appears to be an assault by two individuals in Delhi's Nihal Vihar, as reported by the police on Sunday.

According to law enforcement, a PCR call was made on Saturday evening, notifying them of a man who had suffered multiple stab injuries to his neck and hand following an attack by two men near the Hanuman Mandir.

A police team was promptly dispatched to the scene, but they learned that the victim had already been transported to a hospital. The victim was identified as Hashim, a resident of Nagloi, according to a senior police official.

Hashim informed the police that he had been suddenly attacked by two unidentified men, with the reasons for the attack remaining unknown.

The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 307 (attempted murder) and 34 (criminal act committed by several individuals with a common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The police officer stated that they are currently reviewing CCTV footage to piece together the sequence of events, and they anticipate the swift apprehension of the suspects.
