Delhi LG transfers 23 IPS, DANIPS officers

NEW DELHI: In a major administrative reshuffle, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, V K Saxena, has ordered the transfer of 23 Indian Police Service (IPS) and Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS) officers in the national capital.

According to the official order, Vikramjit Singh, a 2006-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of the Western Range, while Deepak Purohit, a 2007-batch IPS officer, is now the Additional Commissioner of the New Delhi Range.

Chinmoy Biswal, a 2008-batch IPS officer and the former Additional Commissioner of Police for the Western Range, has been reassigned as the Additional Commissioner of Police for Traffic.

Sagar Singh Kalsi, a 2010-batch IPS officer who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the North district, is now the DCP of the Licensing Branch. His batchmate, Satya Vir Katara, has been appointed as the new DCP of Recruitment, as per the order.

Other appointments include Jimmy Chiram, a 2013-batch IPS officer, who assumes the role of DCP of Outer, Hemant Tiwati, a 2014-batch IPS officer, now serving as the new DCP IFSO, and Amit Kaushik, a 2010 DANIPS officer, who has been designated as the new DCP of the Special Cell.
