NEW DELHI: A 17-year old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a retired Intelligence Bureau officer in a hotel in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, police said on Wednesday. The incident took place on Monday afternoon, they said, adding that the girl filed a complaint in the evening on the same day.
A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) was registered after her medical examination.
The accused, 60, who retired around a month ago, is on the run. He called the survivor to the hotel on the pretext of getting her a job. “The girl’s family and the accused are known to each other,” police said.
