Delhi: Delivery guy dies in hit and run

DELHI: A 19-year-old man was killed after his scooter was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle in Dwarka on Monday.

Police are checking CCTV footage to trace the errant vehicle. The deceased man has been identified as Karan Raju, a resident of Goyla Dairy, who worked with an online delivery portal Zepto.

According to police, the incident took place around 11.50pm on Monday, but came to light when Zepto took to Twitter and said “We are deeply aggrieved by the death of Karan Raju (Zepto delivery partner working with Zypp).

“We are helping the family with immediate financial aid of Rs 10 lakh and an additional insurance grant of Rs 8 lakh,” it said.
