Delhi Congress demands resignation of Arvind Kejriwal as CM

NEW DELHI: Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar on Saturday demanded chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation over allegations of him supporting separatists in Punjab.

Delhi Congress organised a protest in north Delhi’s Civil Lines, near the CM’s residence. It was attended by senior functionaries and workers.“Kejriwal claims to be a great patriot, but his devious strategy of holding on to power by hook or by crook has been exposed by his one-time associate Kumar Vishwas. Kejriwal has joined hands with anti-national elements to become the chief minister/Prime Minister of a breakaway state,” Kumar alleged.

Taking a dig at the arrest of an AAP municipal councillor by CBI on charges of taking bribe, Kumar alleged that Kejriwal’s party, which came to power on its anti-corruption plank, had now become the “fulcrum” of corruption. “Most ministers and MLAs in AAP have now been charged with various offences. If Jan Lokpal was in place, they would all be behind bars,” he said.
