Delhi Capitals lose South African pacer Lungi Ngidi, sign Australian all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk

South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi is injured and won't be available for the Delhi Capitals for the coming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the franchise revealed on Friday.

In place of Ngidi, the Capitals have signed Australian all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk.

McGurk, a dynamic 21-year-old opener and leg-spinner hailing from Melbourne, recently debuted in ODIs against the West Indies in Sydney last month.

He joins DC for his reserve price of Rs 50 lakh.

Ngidi, grappling with an ankle injury since India's tour to South Africa in December 2023-January 2024, boasts a record of 25 wickets in 14 IPL matches.
