NEW DELHI: The special cell of Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet against 10 gangsters in a case where a builder was shot in his legs in Mohan Garden area. The chargesheet was filed at a Delhi court in which cops have given detailed information about the planning of the crime.
The gangsters named in the chargesheet include Goldie Brar and Sachin Bishnoi, who are operating from abroad; Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in the custody of Punjab Police in connection with singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder case; Kala Jathedi; Deepak Mundi and others from the Lawrence gang.
Investigation shows that Brar and Bishnoi have been continuously in contact with jailed sharpshooters from the Lawrence’s gang and hatching conspiracies. Cops have recovered five weapons and about 80 cartridges from the gang.
In March 2021, shooters had barged into the office of a real estate company in Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, and given the man handwritten slips demanding protection money of Rs 1 crore. As the owner resisted, they allegedly shot him in both his legs and fled while leaving him in a pool of blood.
Later, a special cell’s team under DCP Pramod Singh Kushwaha had arrested five shooters from their hideouts in Rajasthan. The probe revealed that the men belong to an alliance whose kingpins are jailed gangsters Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi and Lawrence Bishnoi.
The accused were identified as Sunil Meghwal (23) and Chanderbhan Nayak (22) from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, Deepak Kashyap (25) from Gurgaon, Deepak (26) and Krishan Kashyap (22) from Jharoda Kalan in Delhi. They were previously involved in cases of attempt to murder, extortion, Arms Act, Excise Act, etc.
