Delhi: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari challaned for not wearing helmet, riding without licence and HSRP

NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday prosecuted BJP MP Manoj Tiwari for traffic violation during ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ motorcycle rally in central Delhi’s Red Fort area.

According to police, challans were issued to Tiwari for not wearing a helmet, riding without licence, pollution and having no high-security registration number plate. The bike owner was also prosecuted. Overall the amount for challans was Rs 20,000.

Tiwari later said in a tweet, “Very Sorry for not wearing helmet today. I will pay the challan @dtptraffic, clear number plate of vehicle is shown in this photo and location was Red Fort. I request you not to ride two wheeler without helmet DriveSafe family and friends need you.”
