'Delete or consequences' - Arsenal fans not happy with travelling squad for Barcelona clash

Arsenal are approaching the end of what has been a productive pre-season, full of impressive results and exciting signings, but there is one more game to go.

Unai Emery's side bring their pre-season campaign to a close away from home against Barcelona this evening in the Joan Gamper trophy, before turning their sights towards a trip to Tyneside next weekend to play Newcastle United.

The squad for the game at the Nou Camp raised a few eyebrows though, with Alexandre Lacazette absent, although it's likely he was not risked after picking up a knock recently, but the biggest news was around new signing Nicolas Pepe.

Fresh from his record-breaking move to the Emirates Stadium, many expected the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international to make his Gunners debut in the match - but he was not a part of the travelling party.

That left supporters very upset and they took to social media to express their frustrations, although many others did not take a break from demanding further additions to the squad before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Arsenal return to Premier League action next week as they travel to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United.
