Mauricio Pochettino has thrown Dele Alli straight back into Tottenham starting XI following his return from injury at Southampton.
Alli, 22, has not played since picking up a hamstring problem, this third since last summer’s World Cup, during the win at Fulham in January.
Tottenham, who secured their spot in the Champions League last eight with a 1-0 win at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, are once again without Harry Winks after the England midfielder aggravated an hip and groin problem in Germany.
Spurs, without a win in their last three Premier League games, need to translate their European form to domestic games but must do so here without Mauricio Pochettino on the touchline, the Argentine in the stands at his former club having been handed his first touchline ban in English football.
Southampton have not beaten Tottenham here at St. Mary’s in six attempts since their return to the Premier League, their only League victory over Spurs since 2012 being the last game Tottenham lost at the old White Hart Lane.
