Dele Alli has sent a message to new Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of the club’s return to pre-season training.
The attack-minded midfielder was not included in this summer’s England squad for the European Championships, meaning that he has had time to rest and focus on the new campaign.
Despite not being obliged to be involved heavily in any training or conditioning at the moment, he is clearly motivated to prove his commitment and worth to the new management.
The 25-year-old is currently in Portugal at The Campus and is working hard to ensure he is in full fitness ahead of the club’s pre-season kicking off.

Spurs take on Leyton Orient in a fortnight in what will be Nuno’s first game at the helm since his appointment earlier this week.
Multiple stars are likely to sit that one out including the current contingent of players on international duty with England, including captain Harry Kane.
All players will be keen to impress the new boss and look to force their way into his plans ahead of the new campaign getting underway next month.
Alli is likely to be more motivated than most having endured a season on the sidelines when he was overlooked by Nuno’s predecessor Jose Mourinho.
Despite starting in the opening day defeat against Everton, the midfielder did not make another start in the Premier League for another six months - even though he had steered clear of injuries and was fully fit.
Mourinho’s dismissal saw him reintroduced into the first-team squad and he started five Premier League matches in a row under interim boss Ryan Mason, who had stepped into the breach in late April.
Now aged 25, Alli will be desperate to be playing regular first team football again with all three of his goals last campaign coming in the Europa League.

With the North London club facing another demanding schedule next season - when they will be participating in the newly formed UEFA Conference League - it is likely that there will be a greater rotation policy.
All players will now be keen to impress Nuno ahead of the first training sessions beginning under the Portuguese and Alli has now made a clear statement.
He took to Instagram to show him carrying weights in Portugal alongside the caption: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I’m ready.”
Tottenham commence their Premier League campaign on 15 August with a clash against defending champions Manchester City.
The club will begin their pre-season campaign with a clash against Leyton Orient on 17 July before taking on MK Dons, Chelsea and Arsenal in other friendly clashes.
Alli has previously been involved in the most recent two international tournaments with England, having been part of the squad for the European Championships in 2016 and the World Cup in Russia two years later.
