Dele Alli pranks Raheem Sterling on England flight ahead of Montenegro clash

He may have helped to inspire England to a comfortable 5-0 victory over the Czech Republic last Friday, but that has not stopped Raheem Sterling's team mates from having a bit of fun with him.

As England flew out to Montenegro for the second game of their Euro 2020 qualification campaign, Sterling was taking a well-earned mid-flight rest.

This England squad's close bond is well documented and they are more than happy to have a bit of fun at each other's expense.

On this occasion, with a glint in his eye, Tottenham's Dele Alli snuck up behind the sleeping Sterling and gave him a 'wet willy'.

Clearly in a deep sleep after a week's training with the international team, Sterling did not wake up, even with Alli's finger lodged in his ear.

With Sterling not even budging, Alli repeated the trick for a second time. Once again, Sterling didn't so much as stir as he lay with his head on its side, eyes closed.

Alli had to think again if he was to rouse the sleeping Sterling, and think again he did.

This time, he did not aim for Sterling's ear, but his nose. Squeezing together Sterling's nostrils, Alli eventually woke the Manchester City man with a start.

Sterling, eyes now wide open and wondering why the inside of his ear was wet, bolts upwards before the clip ends.

Hopefully it won't affect his performance tonight too much...
