'Dele Alli, oh my god... technical wise so bad!' - Ruud Gullit slams Tottenham star's performance

Ruud Gullit condemned Dele Alli’s disappointing performance in Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Ajax.

Tottenham face an uphill task in Amsterdam next week after Donny van de Beek’s goal gave the Dutch giants a decisive lead at the half-way point of their semi-final tie.

While they improved in the second-half, Spurs were dominated by the visitors in the early stages of the contest with Christian Eriksen admitting his side were guilty of ‘ball-watching’ and making life easy for the opposition.

Gullit, on punditry duty with beIN Sports, targeted a number of Spurs players including Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama but was particularly scathing on Alli’s performance in north London.

"They (Ajax) were under pressure but even under pressure they could hold their defence," Gullit said. "They didn't give away a chance.

"But, for me, a lot of players were disappointing because I see them every week in the Premier League.

"Dele Alli, oh my god, technical wise so bad. Wanyama, my god, technical wise, Rose too.

"Like I said I see them every week and how is it possible to make so many mistakes. I know you're under pressure but you need to know what to do and they didn't."
