Police were this morning still hunting for two men who held Dele Alli at knifepoint during an armed robbery of his house in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The men broke into the Tottenham star’s home in Barnet, where he is in lockdown with his brother, Harry Hickford, their respective partners and one other man.
Alli, 24, and Hickford suffered minor facial injuries after a scuffle, while jewellery and watches were taken.
“Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support,” Alli posted on Twitter on last night.
Spurs said: “We have been offering our support to Dele and those isolating with him. We encourage anyone with any information to help the police to come forward.”
Alli handed CCTV footage to police and a Metropolitan Police statement read: “Police were called at approximately 00:35 on Wednesday, 13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address.
“Two males gained entry and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing. Two male occupants suffered minor facial injuries after being assaulted. They did not require hospital treatment. There have been no arrests.”
The family of Alli’s Spurs team-mate Jan Vertonghen were held at knifepoint while he was on Champions League duty in March.
