Delays warning as roadworks to be place on major West Bridgford route

Roadworks are currently under way on a major road in West Bridgford - and motorists are being warned it will cause delays to traffic.

Wilford Lane, located near the junction of Bede Ling, will have two way signals in place from Wednesday, October 20 to Thursday, October 28, as 'urgent excavation' is required.

The roadworks will affect travel to the Nottingham Forest game against Fulham on Sunday, October 24.

Wilford Lane is usually busy during rush hour and roadworks may cause delays.

Nottinghamshire County Council has said in a bulletin that the restrictions will be in place for 24 hours for the duration of the works.

The works are required to reconstruct a defective manhole chamber and also carry out pipe connections due to restrictive flows.

The work is being carried out by Seven Water Trent.
