Delays on the M60 following collision closed to the A666 and Bury New Road

There are long delays on the M60 this morning following a collision between Pendlebury and Prestwich.

The smash took place clockwise near to junction 16, for the A666 Manchester Road, and junction 17, for Bury New Road.

Two lanes have been shut and there are tailbacks stretching to junction 12 for Eccles Interchange.

Drivers are being warned of delays of around 35 minutes.

It is not known at this stage if anybody has been injured.

There is also surface water on the carriageway, near to junction 18 for Simister Island, which is adding to the delays.
