Drivers are facing long delays on the M60 this evening following multi-vehicle crash on the M60.
Several cars were involved in the collision, which happened on the clockwise carriageway close to junction 3 at Cheadle at around 5.25pm.
Nobody was seriously injured during the incident, police say.
However the accident is causing delays of up to 25 minutes for drivers on the motorway, Highways England is reporting.
A North West Motorway Police spokesperson said the incident was not serious enough to require them to send officers and the incident was being dealt with by the Highways Agency.
"Three of four lanes were initially blocked but the vehicles have since been moved to the hard shoulder."
Vehicles are currently queuing for around two miles between junction 1 at Stockport Pryamid and junction 3.
Normal traffic conditions are expected between by around 6.30pm.
