There are major delays on the M60 after a lorry and trailer overturned and blocked two lanes.
The accident happened at around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
The lorry overturned on the anticlockwise stretch between junction 17 for Whitefield and junction 16 for Robin Hood.
Two of four lanes are currently closed.
Traffic alerts are reporting delays of up to an hour.
There are long tailbacks with seven miles of congestion.
Highways England tweeted at 4.30pm to say that the heavy goods vehicles were still blocking the live lanes.
Approaches to Simister from the M60 and M62 are affected.
It's also affecting some roads through North Manchester and Salford.

Traffic is very slow in the Broughton, Kersal, Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall, Prestwich, Blackley and Heaton Park areas.
Transport for Greater Manchester said Middleton Road and Sheepfoot Lane are also busy with the diverted traffic.
It is unclear when the incident will be cleared.
