Delays for fans heading to Celtic park this weekend as several Glasgow trains cancelled

Football heading to Celtic Park face delays this weekend as several trains are cancelled to allow for improvement works.

Rail services are expected to be very busy this weekend as punters make their way to Sunday's Celtic v Rangers match at Parkhead Stadium.

Scotrail are asking passengers to plan ahead and buy tickets before boarding their train to avoid delays and keep services running as smoothly as possible.

The transport provider is also reminding football fans that Network Rail improvement works are in place - meaning some trains will be cancelled.

Replacement buses will be in operation for people travelling between Rutherglen, Motherwell, Whifflet and Larkhall on Sunday.

A post on Celtic Football Club's Twitter page reinforces the message from Scotrail that transport will be busy.
