Delays expected on busy Nottingham road due to emergency work on burst water pipe

Temporary traffic lights have been set up on a busy road in Nottingham while workers conduct emergency repairs on a burst water pipe.

The lights have been set up in Hucknall Road, just down from the junction with Kersall Drive, and Severn Trent Water will be carrying out the work.

According to Nottingham City Council the work began just before midday on Thursday, September 9 and is set to last throughout the weekend.

Delays are expected on the typically busy route which takes traffic in and out of the city to the north.

Works are expected to finish on Monday, September 13 at around 3.30pm.

The city council says it will aim to keep Nottingham moving by monitoring traffic from its control room. It says delays will be "moderate".
